Q. How do I cut the board?

A. We suggest that a 1mm cutting wheel on an angle grinder be used.

Q. How do I cut around power points and light fittings?

A. we recommend that the area where the power point / light fitting is be left to last.

Mark the wall out as per Installation method video on web page. Leave the tile that is to go over the light fitting or power point to last.

Carefully measure the distance from the side of the laid tile (on wall) to the edge of the fitting and transfer the measurement to the tile that is to be cut; do this for all sides of the fitting.

Now carefully start cutting with the angle grinder (fitted with the 1mm cutting wheel) start from the middle of the area that is to be cut out and work towards the corner of what is to be cut, stopping millimetres from the corner, now do this for all four sides.

Now take a sharp Stanley knife and slowly cut towards the corner and stop once you have reached the two points meeting, repeat this for all sides and you should have a clean cut out that will fit nicely over the fitting.

If you find that you have taken a little too much off you can gap fill in the space.

If the profile of the tile is higher than the fitting you can purchase a power point light switch profiler.

Q. What adhesive should I use?

A. There are three different types of adhesives that can be used

1. Latex

2. Heavy duty Acrylic pre mixed wall paper glue (40 ounces)

3. Tile paste

Latex

- The most suitable surface for application is on masonry or rendered walls.

- Using a notched trowel for even application.

- The paper layer over gyprock/ plaster board is slightly damaged during removal (repairable).

- For removal, a paint scraper with a steam remover.

-The surface should be ready for repainting and/or wall covered.
